Jackpot, Jack and JoAnn, cross their wake and arrive home!
Arriving at Bay St.Louis we fueled up since it was $3.10 a gallon. After taking on fuel we pumped out and headed to our slip. The slip had fixed piers with small fingers on it. We had a lot of trouble getting tied up so that we could depart the boat.
The marina was right in the heart of downtown and close to shops and restaurants. Jackpot was put on the events wall and interviewed by their local tv station. We toasted champagne and then headed to one of their favorite restaurants Cuz's. There were 23 people there to celebrate Jack and JoAnn's return. The meal was delicious. Most enjoyed steamed royal red shrimp. They taste almost like lobster.
Waking up Monday morning, Hal discovered that the freshwater pick up nipple was broken off from the tank. Chris, Sonny and Jack all pitched in to help remedy this so we could have water on the boat.
Jack and Brenda.
Brenda and I sat Cafe Du Monde.
Bourbon Street
Our tour guide, JoAnn, organized a limo ride to New Orleans for the day. We all piled in to the limo at 10:00 and arrived in New Orleans in high style. After walking around town and on Bourbon Street we ended up in Felix's Restaurant. Another satisfying meal was enjoyed. After some more touring around we wend to Cafe Dumond's for beignets. We were all stuffed by then.
More walking took us to the flea market and then to wait for the arrival of the limo.
Upon return to the marina, JoAnn drove us to pick up Skipper from the dog sitter and to CVS for my last prescription . Ice cream was our last stop as our dinner. 😋
Leaving Bay St Louis in the early am.
Due to the weather changing, we had to cut our trip short and leave before sun up. We left at 5:30 am to travel across the Mississippi Sound.
