Travel Day 55 to Dover Island, TN 10/12/21 over 52.7 NM 9 hr run

We left Green Turtle Bay Resort and Marina heading towards Nashville. We planned to stop the first night at Bumpus Marina, however after taking a look at the marina we decided to push on to an anchorage. The marina did not look like it would be able to accommodate the weight and size of our boats. No one came out to greet us and there was no answer on the phone so we left. We headed to Dover Island, TN and was able to anchor behind the island. There were already two boats there who had left Green Turtle Bay after us and passed us. We are the sloooow boats.

Be careful, not all buoys are in there place.

The Cumberland River has been beautiful to travel in thus far. We saw eagles and pelicans. When it was dark we used the searchlight and scanned the water to see not only fish jumping but an otter swimming along. The stars were gorgeous.

Our anchorage for the night.
