Cairo, IL
Since we had an early departure from Kaskaskia River Bend we were able to pass Diversion Canal with considerably more daylight left so we decided to go towards Boston Bar. We did see two boats anchored Diversion Canal with relatively little room for us and New Hope if we had decided to try going in, so it was a good decision.
After traveling 95.3 NM in almost 11 hours we made it to the anchorage. There were two boats already there. Flying Colors, a Meridian, hailed us on the radio and advised us to what he thought about the anchorage holding and depths. Also anchored was Our Pas Time, a Carver. Since we are slower than either of these boats we left early in the morning to get to Paducah, KY.
Gemini tucked in for the evening.
New Hope at anchor with us.
