What a beautiful ride to Saugatuck. As you enter the inlet there is a beautiful anchorage, that would be a great place to anchor for a few nights. Traveling through the Kalamazoo River is so peaceful. There are amazing homes on both sides of the river. One is nicer than the next. There were also boats anchored in Kalamazoo Lake, although this was not a no wake zone so a little rolly. We stayed at Seargent Marina, which was very close to town. There were yes/no signs posted on the poles in front of the boats. We found out that they were for the pump out. If you want your boat pumped out on Tuesdays, you put the yes on the pole.

Saugatuck is a quaint little town with many restaurants and neat little shops. We enjoyed breakfast at Pumpernickel's, and a quick dinner at a Mexican place. There is a bus that you can call and they will take you around for $1.00 per person.

While we were there a sidewalk sale was going on and we, or should I say I, took advantage of it. Bought a few new things to wear. We were unable to do the dune ride because it books out so far in advance. We did take a dinghy ride with Mary and Chris.

There are cute little old fashioned boats and "tube" boats to rent. These would be fun in Zach's Bay.

There was a paddleboat that cruises around the lake and a chain ferry that takes people across the river. The ferry runs by the chain going through the the boat.

Overall, Saugatuck was an enjoyable stop. We are realizing the value in staying for three nights, as we get a day to just chill.
