Crossing our wake and holding our gold burgee.
Our buddy boat, Cashelmara, Chris and Mary and Skipper crossing thier wake.
After 377 days and 6278 miles we are home. We left Brielle at 5:30 am to go at slack tide. We left with La Vida, Jackpot, Skafos, Cashlemara, and Mobile Home. Along the way Taylor'd for 2 joined us. We had a beautiful day to travel again in the Atlantic. As we approached Ambrose Channel we were met by a FDNY fireboat to welcome us back with a water display. Our buddy boats were with us to see us cross.
Some things I would like to point out about doing the loop: this is an adventure not a vacation. It is work but well worth it. It is a learning experience filled with success and challenges. You will make many new friends.
It was bittersweet to say goodbye to our friends as we turned right and they carried on to Liberty Landing. Cruising with loopers is so special. You meet so many wonderful people from so many different parts of the country and different experiences. We hope to see these folks in the future.
As we got near the East Rockaway Inlet, Queens NY, we were met with Chris's twin brother in a center console. He was there when we departed and welcomed us back. We have completed our loop.

We stopped at Dox, a restaurant and bar, for the night to see friends and family. In the morning we went to our home marina in Freeport. We will be cruising around Long Island this summer and then heading down to Florida for the winter. We hope to see and meet old and new friends.
