Whittaker Pointe Marina Clubhouse.
We chose to stay at Whittaker Pointe Marina this trip. It is not right downtown but it is a really nice place with a gorgeous clubhouse and a courtesy car to take you to town. The marina which also has a pool, has cement docks and wide slips. Usually transients are put on the T head, however we had a slip on B dock. It is surrounded by lots that are up for sale or have homes in the process of being built. As I walked Izzy a deer came out of one of the wooded areas and bounded down the lane into another wooded area. It was just so peaceful, pretty and relaxing.

We were there early enough so we used the courtesy car and drove to the town. We went into a provisioning store close to the Oriental Inn and Marina where we stayed in the spring. Next we stopped at the Piggly Wiggly for the Zicks. There is a van that they shuttle you back and forth from any of the marinas. They even had Boar's Head there.
We had a relaxing night and didn't have to leave very early since it was a short ride to Morehead City.
