Travel Day 122 Barefoot Marina, N Myrtle Beach, SC 4/10/22

Tides! Current! Wind! We left early morning due to the current and tides. We were leaving before Cashelmara so we had to sneak out, but there was no problem due to low wind and timing the current. The ride to N. Myrtle Beach is a pleasant ride looking at all the different houses and some of the attractions that can be seen from the water.

Mansions on the ICW. I was told there are many famous people who own homes here.

We arrived at Barefoot Marina and the dock master and dockhands were there to help with the lines because of course the wind picked up as we were ready to dock. After getting secured we called an Uber to get a rental car. We had to go back to NY for medical intervention and to get our other crew member, Izzy. By bike you can get to the beach, grocery store and a Walmart. There was even a House of Blues very close. Unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of all the activities near by since we were gone.

Traveling in the car to the boat.

Saturday we took our friends to a Walmart to get oil for their oil changes. We also did some provisioning for the trip.

A road to nowhere at Barefoot Marina but don't forget to stop.

The marina keeps the log here for the turtles.

The restaurant was a fun place with pretty good food.

Saturday evening was an impromptu docktails at Cashelmara. Ken and Cheryl Pfeiffer from Turn the Paige, Kevin and Lisa from Skafos, Jack and JoAnn from Jackpot and us gathering together. So nice to meet other loopers. We all traveled together to Southport , except Turn The Paige.
